Experienced reader, mainly as an Orchestral, Chamber & Musical Theatre musician but also with Big, Swing and Function/Corporate Bands and recording studio experience.

Work normally as “on-the-day” Orchestral extra, alongside week-long Amdram and school, youth, performing arts group productions.

Full time Music Service Teacher for 36 years until early retirement/redundancy in August 2013, having worked for Hampshire and Buckinghamshire Music Services
Experienced in working with young people so very comfortable performing within school/community/youth environs (annually updated DBS held)

Enhanced DBS updated every year in January.

Training

Freelance performer since 2013 on Double Bass (multi diploma holder) Bass Guitars, Tenor Trombone (diploma holder) and Bass Trombone.

5-string (1890 German) Double Bass has a pick-up so can go through and amp & Theatre PA's as necessary

I play 5 string Bass Guitars, both fretted and fretless with EBS and Ashdown amplification set-ups. I am very comfortable using IEM’s, personal monitoring, click tracks, etc
