The Show Must Go On Campaign - Photoshoot on July 30th at Playhouse Theatre

Tuesday 28th July 2020

MAS client Karen Anstee would like to share the following for anyone who may be interested. She said to stress that because of Covid-19 and to be safe, everyone has to be given their own individual 5 min slot so they can be registered and safely distanced. Therefore please contact the organisers via the email below if interested.

"Dear Friends

If you are involved in theatre performance, IN ANY CAPACITY - PLEASE READ THE NOTICE BELOW about a photoshoot on JULY 30th at PLAYHOUSE THEATRE, Charing Cross WC2N to publicise the plight of our industry was posted on the Musicians' Movement page - hope some of you can go along and take part - the more we are seen the better the chances of us still having theatres, not to mention shows, to perform in. Thanks ???? Kx

Have been asked to share this by The Show Must Go On Campaign. Much like our own Musicians' Movement, they have brought much needed attention and support for the arts during the uncertainty and devastation caused by the Covid Pandemic. (I know they are very short of musicians to represent our important area of the Arts and I think that is why I was approached so I hope this proves useful to anyone out there inclined to help them out):

It is important that we continue to raise awareness of the theatre ‘community’ and the vast array of people who play an essential role in its operation. All those who rely on it for their livelihood and continue to be drastically effected by its absence.

It’s for this reason that Clayton Smith Photography in collaboration with Acting for Others will be producing a gallery of portraits that will feature people from all aspects of theatre.
They will form a vast collection that will be presented through various media outlets as a representation of the real faces of theatre. A symbol of unity, support and solidarity.

We invite anyone who works or has worked within theatre to attend. There is strength in numbers and it’s only through involvement from those in ALL departments that we can achieve true representation.

All photos will be taken quickly and following all government safety guidelines.

ATG has generously facilitated the use of The Playhouse Theatre for the purpose of the shoot.

Location: The Playhouse Theatre, Northumberland Ave, Charing Cross, London WC2N 5DE

Date: Thursday 30th July

Time: 11am - 4:30pm

To maintain current safety regulations we are booking everyone in to 5 minute time slots.
Each 5 minute slot will involve 2 people. One of you will have your photo taken whilst the other supplies basic details & sign a release - then you will switch.

Please email and/or DM me with your preferred hour eg. 11-12 or 2-3 etc and I will reply with your specific time slot.

Come as you are. This is about authenticity.
We will be moving quickly so wait times will be minimal.
Safety Wardens will be in attendance to supervise social distancing.

*All those taking part are to check in at The Playhouse Theatre Stage Door on Craven Street when they arrive.

We thank you all in advance for your support and attendance.

See you there.
