The members of the Promenade Quintet are all busy freelance players who work throughout the UK, playing between them with London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Glyndebourne Touring Opera and Garsington Opera amongst others.

They formed in 2007 when offered a residency by the Grosvenor Estate to play for the Brown Hart Gardens lunchtime summer chamber music concerts. They also have a summer residency in Spitalfields Bishop’s Square.

They have a wide selection of repertoire of original quintets from Early Classical period by Danzi and Reicha, by Taffenal from the Romantic period, through to 20th century works by Malcolm Arnold, Samuel Barber and Nielson. The majority of their repertoire is arrangements of well known works by JS Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, Haydn, Bizet, Debussy, Grieg, Faure, traditional folksongs such as Scarborough Fair, and Pop and Show classics including Lady Gaga.

The Quintet can be booked to perform for Weddings and Private Functions. They can perform in Formal Wear or Casual Wear. They all have Public Liability Insurance.

Cost to hire the Quintet is £800 + travel expenses.
