Lancier Brass are an award-winning London-based brass quintet who have emerged as one of the leading young brass groups in the country. They recently became the first brass quintet for 12 years to win the Ensemble Prize and Miller Trophy at the Royal Over-Seas League Competition, and also gained a place in the Park Lane Group’s Young Artists Series, the first brass ensemble to achieve this since Onyx Brass in 1995. The latter distinction gave the group a debut concert at the Purcell Room, which took place in January 2006. Other recent highlights include a live BBC Radio 3 broadcast and UK Premiere of Zhou Long's Five Maskers, a performance which prompted the composer to acclaim the quintet as "a fantastic group of players" and clearly shows how keen the group are to promote new music.

Lancier Brass are available for all kinds of engagements, be it background music for a wedding, through to an evening recital in a concert hall. They have a constantly expanding repertoire list which gives them the versatility that is required from a modern chamber group, and allows them to tailor a programme for any occasion.

The players themselves have enjoyed considerable success in their short careers; their orchestral experience has seen them play with renowned orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony, and London Philharmonic Orchestras, among others. Furthermore, all five members have experienced trials for positions with major London orchestras, and two of the members currently hold positions with the Orchestra of the Scottish Opera.
