Biography

Peter started playing trombone aged 8 and by age 11 he was studying at the prestigious Chethams School of Music. There he stayed until he was 18 and left to study at Trinity College of Music, London with Graham Lee and Mark Templeton. He was awarded a first class degree in music (BMus) with honours and went on to complete a Masters Degree in Orchestral Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Peter’s career has varied enormously from performing on Children In Need with X-Factor winner Leon Jackson, to touring productions including The Kind and I and South Pacific. Peter has trialled for the position of 2nd trombone with the BBC Philharmonic and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and performs regularly with many professional orchestras including Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet. He has also performed with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and flew to Mumbai to perform with the Symphony Orchestra of India.

As well as a performing career Peter is dedicated to music education, for many years with Camden music service and currently with Kent music service. He lives in Kent with his wife and young son.
