Brief summary of teaching qualifications/experience:
Andrew has become established as an inspirational teacher of gifted string players teaching violin viola and chamber music and also conducting String Orchestras. Over thirty former pupils are now established in the music profession, as well other sectors from Michelin starred chef, a cricketer and high profile footballer. All point their success to being part of Andrew’s String Academy.
Andrew conducted the first joint Dance Music 'Fireworks Project' for the newly formed Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance and Music. Andrew is passionately committed to his pupils and the opportunities he is able to create for them as a life long learner. Work has included projects with the postgraduate String Ensemble, and also hosting of the Singapore String Conservatoire Orchestra at Trinity. In 2025 Andrew led the Colab project 'Just in Time:Jazz Strings.' A rich relationship which has provided opportunity for many to enter Trinity and gain success in the music profession. Over 30 of Andrew's former pupils hold positions including a leading academic, a London Orchestra manager, a principle violinist and leading conservatoire string teachers. Several have been inspired to established their own orchestras and music groups.
