Royal College of Music – Master of Performance (Distinction)

Royal Northern College of Music – Bachelor of Music (1st)

I am a professional flautist, offering lessons in flute, piccolo, and baroque flute, together with music theory as required.  I am an active performer on modern and historical flutes, having performed as principal flute with the Ulster Orchestra, Northern Ballet Sinfonia, as well as second flute/piccolo with the Hallé Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra, Réjouissance, and the Zürcher Symphoniker.

I am offering lessons in flute, piccolo, baroque flute, and music theory. I believe the learning of music should be an enjoyable experience for students of all ages and levels, so whether you are picking up an instrument as a casual hobby or preparing for conservatoire auditions, lessons will be tailored to each student's individual needs. 

I am available to help students with graded exams, including recorded exams. Recently I worked with the ABRSM to record materials for their new Diploma Syllabus. I am also equally happy to teach and learn together outside the exam system.

Lessons can be online or in-person in Manchester, delivered in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin.
