Biography

Gabriel Dias, a Brazilian trumpeter, has established himself as a versatile performer and dedicated music educator. He earned his degree from the Manhattan School of Music and the Juilliard School on full scholarships. Before relocating to New York and then London, he spent three seasons with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theatre Orchestra.

Gabriel has performed with distinguished orchestras and ensembles worldwide, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Chineke! Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Aurora Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Malaysian Symphony Orchestra, Flanders Symphony Orchestra, and Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas. He has also participated in performances at prominent music festivals, such as the Verbier and Lucerne festivals in Switzerland, and the BBC Proms in London. His playing has been featured on recordings for labels like Sony Classical, Deutsche Grammophon, and Decca Records.

Gabriel's versatility extends beyond classical music; he has contributed to film and TV soundtracks and performed at high-profile fashion shows for Burberry in London and Louis Vuitton in Paris.

As a soloist, chamber musician, and founder/director of Rio Brass, a London-based brass band merging pop music with Brazilian rhythms, Gabriel continually explores new artistic ventures. He demonstrates his passion for music education by working as a brass teacher in both South America and the UK.
