Santiago Quartet forthcoming album

Wednesday 24th May 2017

The Santiago quartet continues to campaign for awareness around mental health issues and has raised over £2500 for charities such as Mind and Oakleaf, a Guildford based charity who's slogan is "Making Life work with mental illness" through concerts, radio interviews and blogs.

However, in the run-up to the release of their album, the focus has been as much on the music is anything else. Many hours of playing, editing and mixing is in the studio of mercury award nominated Gerry Diver has meant that the album "Language of the Heart" has moved into the last stages of production.

Santiago Quartet has been delighted to receive further support from Classic FM. Their Facebook page is helping to make the group's long-term goal of introducing the stunning and under-rated Latin American chamber music to more people across the globe. The below post had received over 27000 views at the time of writing.

We hope to continue raising awareness of 3 worthy causes when the album is released: those causes being the music of Will Todd, Piazzolla's Tango quintets and the reality that charities like Mind need support in helping the tens of thousands of people in this country effected by mental health issues:
