The Musician’s Answering Service, the UK’s leading diary service for freelance classical and session musicians, has a vacancy for a full-time diary co-ordinator. The successful applicant should be a team player with an interest in music who is looking for a start in Arts Administration. Working as part of a small team, each co-ordinator is responsible for taking bookings for the 1000 clients we have on our books. The majority of each day is spent taking calls from orchestras and session contractors wishing to book players for their work, and it is the co-ordinators job to make informed decisions as to whether the work offered is viable. Every co-ordinator is also responsible for individual projects, such as updating our website, producing the quarterly CV brochure or producing the quarterly newsletter.
Applicants should have the ability to make accurate decisions under pressure, possess computer skills and be happy to work on a shift basis at our office in Dorking, Surrey. Previous experience in customer services would be a plus.
