Neil Black Award Concert

Friday 2nd November 2018

Jan Knight has asked us to let you know about a Wigmore Hall Concert on December 6th 2018, which will celebrate the life of her late husband, Neil Black, and also raise funds for the newly created Neil Black Award. The annual Award is administered by the Countess of Munster Trust and will help a young woodwind player fund post-graduate studies in Britain or abroad. Thank’s to some very generous donations, the first award has already been made - to London born oboist Manou Rolland, who will be continuing his studies in Geneva.

The Concert, to be given by the Endellion String Quartet, Jonathan Kelly (oboe) and Roderick Williams (baritone) will feature music by Bach, Mozart, Samuel Barber and Beethoven. We hope to see many old friends there.
