Began the cello with Lilly Phillips in 1967.
Won Exibition to Royal Academy of Music to study cello with Florence Hooton and singing with Marjorie Thomas.
Won String quartet prize, scale prize and best 2nd study singer prize
Studied with Pierre Fournier in Geneva whilst living in Freiburg.
