Brief summary of teaching qualifications/experience:
I studied Music at Oxford University (graduating with a 2:1 Honours degree) and then attended the Royal Academy of Music. I now enjoy a busy freelance career as a double bass player. Since 2007 I have taught for Warwickshire County Music Service, Warwick School and Northamptonshire Music Trust. I will be teaching for Richmond Music Trust from September 2012. My experience includes whole-class workshops with primary school children, small-group teaching in primary and secondary schools, sectional coaching at all levels and orchestral training, as well as individual tuition. My approach is friendly and accessible, yet I encourage and enable pupils to aim for high standards. I am willing and able to prepare students for Trinity and Associated Board examinations where this is appropriate.
