Brief summary of teaching qualifications/experience:
I have taught upper strings individually and ensembles for twenty years. I have some basic Kodaly and Dalcroze Training.I have taught for Salford Music service, West Sussex music support service and the Menuhin Foundation of Bermuda and covered as Head of Strings at Roedean school. Most recently I was the Senior String teacher at Benenden School where I coached the Youth Orchestra, ran a successful strings scheme, including two string ensembles, chamber music and taught violin/viola students from beginner to diploma level, several of whom gained places in NYCO, NYO and NCO orchestras. I run adult chamber groups and have conducted the Menuhin Foundation Youth Orchestra, coached West Sussex Youth Orchestra, Salford Youth Orchestra, Brighton Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Chamber Orchestra. I have also helped write and design Wider Opportunity Projects for the Menuhin Foundation, West Sussex and Seaford College. I am a trained Music with Mummy co-ordinator and currently teach at Brighton High School for Girls.
