Brief summary of teaching qualifications/experience:

Private Teaching in England and Brazil
During my career I have had several private students that have come to me to have lessons on trumpet technique and general musicianship. Working on a one to one basis gives me the chance to expand my teaching technique and reflect on how learning a musical instrument can positively affect each student uniquely.  So far most of my students in the UK have been awarded distinction in their ABRSM exams and one of them has recently received a full scholarship to study at CYM (Center of Young Musicians).

Trumpet Teacher at Virgo Preparatory School
Since January of 2014 I have been teaching trumpet, cornet and trombone at Virgo Preparatory School. There I have the opportunity to work with students from years 4 and 5 individually.

Head of Brass at The Nucleo Project
From May 2015 to July of 2016 I worked as head of brass at the Nucleo Project in Holland Park. I have been working with children introducing basic instrumental technique, music theory concepts, helping them with concentration, mindfulness, discipline and commitment. At Nucleo I have the opportunity to teach Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone and Tuba.

Trumpet Teacher of Arts First
From September of 2014 to July of 2016, I have been teaching trumpet in different schools in the borough of Islington.  During the course of almost one year, I have been working in different classrooms with 15 children aged 10, introducing basic trumpet technique and music theory, preparing them for an end-of-year concert. Teaching in a group setting offered me the opportunity to work on my classroom teaching skills.

The Morse Artist Teaching Fellowship - The Juilliard School 2011-2012
During the Morse Artist Fellowship, I had the opportunity to offer weekly instrumental group lessons to students at N.Y.C. schools.

Trumpet and brass tutor of the Pre-College Programme at The Juilliard School 2010-2012
As a music coach in the Pre-College division of the Juilliard School I had the chance to work assisting children with how to focus their minds during rehearsals and concerts. Nowadays with so many external distractions with technology and so on, music serves as a great instrument of practice for concentration, discipline and commitment. During rehearsals I often reminded them of the commitment and respect needed towards music and their fellow musicians when you play in a group setting.  As a result of establishing new habits during rehearsals and practice sessions, the performances were always very gratifying. Their performance skills enhanced significantly once they understood the power of concentration and respect and how fun it is to make music in its highest levels.
